Summary: Mastering Your Mean Girl By Melissa Ambrosini

ONE | choose love over fear

Every decision comes down to a choice—to do things either from love or from fear.

To master your Mean Girl you must choose love over fear in every moment.

In times of uncertainty ask yourself, “What would love do right now?”

You can always light up the darkness of fear with love.

TWO | flex your self-love muscle

Here’s a good Self-Love Menu:

Watching the sunrise or sunset.

Meditating in nature, either at the beach or in the park.

Diving in the ocean.

Hysterically belly laughing with my boys.

Cooking a healthy organic meal and sharing it with all my loved ones.

Reading a good book curled up in bed or soaking up the sun.

Sipping organic herbal tea and having soulful conversations with my besties.

Getting a mani-pedi or even a blow-dry (how good that feels!).

Moving my body, either walking or doing yoga.

Doing random acts of kindness.

THREE | dial up your worthy-o-meter

How worthy you feel is reflected in all areas of your life.

You are the director, producer, and leading lady of your own life movie. Get creative and play big.

Your actions today affect your life tomorrow.

You create your life moment by moment. If you don’t like what you’re creating, you can create again.

Don’t let your Mean Girl self-sabotage. You deserve all the love, health, and happiness in the world.

What you resist persists; what you look at and face head-on disappears.

FOUR | being fabulously healthy

How you treat your body is a direct reflection of how you feel about yourself.

Consciously choose this affirmation: “I love and accept myself unconditionally and move my body because I love the way it makes me feel.”

Choose love, because you always get what you fear most.

There’s always a price to pay when you don’t listen to your body.

Remember, consistency matters. It’s the little things you do each day that add up to big results or big consequences.

Presence is key for mental health.

FIVE | let passion pump your pulse

We came here to make a life, not a living.

You are always supported when you follow your heart.

If you’re a multipassionate person, own it. However, home in on the one thing that excites you most.

Remember, passion drives your purpose.

Don’t let your Mean Girl tell you that following your passion is not going to work or that you can’t make money following your heart.

Stay connected to your why. Have it at the forefront of your mind and everything you do.

SIX | being wildly wealthy

Remember, money is just energy.

When you spend your money, always ask yourself, “Is this aligned to me and my core values?”

Stay true to your definition of success.

Choose to have an abundance mind-set.

Spirituality is a state of being.

SEVEN | divine relationships

Relationships allow us the opportunity to be the fullest versions of ourselves.

Your relationships are your biggest spiritual assignments.

When we judge others, we are simply judging ourselves. What we see in others is some truth about ourselves.

Every time we people please, we are saying yes to someone else and no to our truth. In that moment we are dimming our light.

Comparison keeps you in Fear Town. It will rob you of happiness and pure joy.

Quit comparing.

Treat your soul sisters with love.

The most important relationship is the relationship with yourself. You must cultivate a loving relationship with your awesome self first.

Unity, clarity, alignment, and consciousness are prerequisites for divine relationships.

EIGHT | your gift to the world

Never underestimate the potency and power of simply being you.

Remember, everyone has an opinion and that’s okay.

What other people think of you is none of your business.

Don’t let the fear of what other people think of you stop you from following your heart.

Resilience means staring your Mean Girl in the eyes and saying, I see you, but I am not willing to let you win.

Being resilient takes practice and courage.

Asking for help is not.

NINE | the art of letting go

Forgiveness is a judgment.

Letting go and understanding are the keys to your freedom.

Letting go and understanding are an act of self-love.

When you practice nonjudgment, letting go and understanding—whether it’s for someone else or yourself—you are freeing yourself from pain and releasing the energy that you have been holding on to.

Everyone is on different operating systems and is always doing the very best they can with their knowledge and understanding at any given time.

Meet others with understanding in your heart.

TEN | be a trailblazer. live your legacy.

We must celebrate our uniqueness and not suppress it.

Remember, everything happens for a reason.

When you deny your truth there is always a consequence.

Vulnerability makes people lean in. It’s beautiful, raw, and truthful.

There is nothing more attractive than when someone is unapologetically themselves.

By simply choosing love over fear and mastering your Mean Girl, you are making an impact and leaving a legacy.
